Pacesetters is a private not for profit organization chartered in the State of Tennessee to provide services and supports to individuals with disabilities and their families.   Established in 1971, Pacesetters provides a variety of services to accomplish its mission.

What is Pacesetters Mission?

Pacesetters mission is to empower and support people with disabilities and their families to lead enriched and fulfilled lives.

Pacesetters’ offers a full array of services in order to support individuals to be valued members of society.   Supported Employment, the Art Program, Supported Living, and all of the other services offered are implemented with philosophy of self determination, recognizing strengths and talents over weaknesses, community involvement, and dignity.   Pacesetters’ offers services in Putnam, Overton, White, Warren and Macon Counties for adults needing residential and day supports.  And finally, the agency also provides services to families in the Upper Cumberland area through the Family Support Program who are in need of financial support for adaptive equipment, energy assistance, transportation and other services not funded by other sources. 

In summary, the philosophy of Pacesetters stresses individual outcomes for persons served as well as providing a supportive and pleasant working environment for employees.
