"Birds of Tennessee + One"

Exhibition of Original Illustrations for The Alphabet Book

Saturday, DECEMBER 1st  -  30th

Good News! the Exhibit has been extended until the end of the month

Please try to see this delightful exhibit

This exhibit features works of art published in "Birds of Tennessee + One", an alphabet book produced by artists and writers of Pacesetters, Inc. in May 2010. The book illustrates 40 bird species native to Tennessee and features poems, text, and images for each letter of the alphabet.

The artwork in this exhibition was on tour at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center in Nashville April 11–August 31, 2011. We are very excited to see, for the first time, the original images produced by the Pacesetter artists.

Pacesetters' 40th Anniversary Celebrated in Style! Print E-mail
News - Admin

Pacesetters Inc. is honored to be celebrating its 40th Anniversary of providing services to individuals and families in the Upper Cumberland area. Celebrations were held with an open house in our 5 day centers from July 14th through July 26th.

The celebration continued with a dinner at Leslie Towne Center in Cookeville on July 28th. The crowd was wowed by the touching comments made by Pacesetters’ founder, Ruth Phipps, and was further entertained and inspired by Jack McCall. It was a wonderful evening of reflection on how we started, how we have evolved, and how we have grown into the premier organization we are today.

Pacesetters Earns Four Star Status! Print E-mail
News - Admin

The annual survey done by the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services  reviews records, fiscal practices, interviews  service recipients and families, and employees and looks at 10 separate quality measures or domains. Pacesetters score was perfect!

Four Star status is awarded to organizations who perform at the “Exceptional” level on the QA survey for two years in a row and also show “Substantial Compliance”  both years.

According to Karen Galbraith, Executive Director for Pacesetters, “Achieving a perfect score is a huge accomplishment especially for an organization our size and now we have done it for the second consecutive year. This is a nice way to cap off a year we are celebrating our 40th Anniversary. We continue to have a great group of employees and board members who work very hard every day to deliver the highest quality of support to those we serve. This is just one measure of the organizations’ continuing commitment to serve individuals and families in the region in an effective and efficient way.”
