Pacesetters Pantry

Even though the rains have ceased, there remains a downpour of need. Putnam County recipients watched as the flood waters rose in Nashville and recognized these neighbors needed help. After researching various options to provide assistance, a group decision came in the form of a food drive with the goal of gathering 100 food items within one week. Totals are in and the goal surpassed! Putnam Pacesetters recipients, staff, families and community sponsors collected 315 food items totaling $500.00. In order to help others, we needed assistance in delivering the items to Nashville. We found a wonderful neighbor with a common goal in McGugin Oil. This local business transported all items donated to Nashville on 5/25/10. We would like to thank everyone who donated time, money and food with a special thanks to McGugin Oil on North Washington Ave. in Cookeville, TN.

Quality Work at Putnam Center

Through the Supported Employment program, Pacesetters is continuing our relationship with a firm from Ohio, the ZHF Company.

Service recipients of Putnam County are gainfully employed sorting and packaging vacuum bags which are then shipped to the Oreck factory in Cookeville.

The service recipients from Putnam County have done several other quality control jobs for ZHF in the past and this is one more that is helping ZHF to maintain a quality relationship with the Oreck Company.
